I made View C of the Sienna Maker Jacket. It fits well and for the most part the instructions were great. I had a little trouble understanding how to do the placket because 1) I've never done one before and 2) too many "left"s and "right"s in the instructions. However, I just read carefully and pinned the pieces through the series of instructions until I saw how it should all play out. Love the design. It is meant to be primarily a working jacket (made of brushed bull denim) but the placket detail in the back really help it transition to wearing out as well. My lunch buddy thought it was fabulous and couldn't believe I made it. I'm looking forward to making version A soon.
I lived this pattern! I made View C from a corduroy that was 97%cotton/ 3% elastane. The instructions are great, complete, and clear. The jacket os fabulous; my 26 year old outdoor girl (explorer /camper) was really excited to receive it for Christmas. The sleeve pockets and 3 button placket in the back are great designer elements.
The only way to improve this pattern, in my opinion, is to include the pieces for a lining. (I can make those myself, but prefer to spend my time sewing).
I love the pattern and now that my daughter’s jacket is made, I will be making View A or B for myself!
Thank you!

I’m thrilled w how the (C version) jacket turned out! Made it in an olive stretch twill. I had to add 2” to the sleeves & 3” to the length since I’m 6’. By lengthening the jacket it extended the back placket which I’ll remedy in my next make. Anyway I’’m planning on making all versions sometime next year!!
Awesome jacket. Fits like a glove. Very clear instructions. Hope to make again in a worn denim. I highly recommend this pattern.
Love these patterns, instructions are thorough and easy to follow. Definitely my favorite pattern.
