Part of our Rome Collection, the Pietra Pants & Shorts are the best of both worlds; a flat front, high-waisted silhouette with the comfort of an elastic waist in the back. Featuring lengthening panels in the front with slanted hip pockets and a hidden waist stay, you’ll never want to take them off.

Choose between four leg styles: a wide leg in floor-skimming or cropped length (View A), a slim and tapered leg (View B), or gently flared shorts (View C).

Nice Shorts!

For the first time, I've been able to make a pair of shorts/pants without making multiple muslins and hacking it to death in order for it to fit! I usually make several muslins, around 5, and either get it or give up. This was so easy! All I had to do was verify my measurements today, and then choose a taller rise size, grading around my waist and hip sizes. It fit perfect, the first time! I'm a true fan now. Can't wait to to try the other pants patterns. Right now, I'm off to make my 3rd pair of shorts!

I do see comments stating that the shorts/pants stating the rise is too high or sizing not right. I am confused as to why people aren't double checking all the measurements? They're CLEARLY listed for each version of the pattern, in the beginning of the Pattern Instructions. If I choose to ignore or not check them, then it's my own fault!

Pants that feel like joggers but look a little smarter

This was the first time I've ever made pants. I was always daunted by all the things I've read about fitting pants but these were very straightforward to sew. I made the shorts version first and it fit perfectly! The rise is much higher than any other RTW bottoms I have. While not uncomfortable, I might look into reducing it in future makes.

Best pants/shorts pattern

After trying two other patterns with an elastic waist, I was surprised that this one fit without any changes. Yay! I made the tapered leg pants in medium weight linen and two sets of shorts in stretch denim. Look forward to making a few more.

Who doesn't love an elastic waist pants that is both flattering and super comfy?

I adore this pattern and these pants and shorts! I have lived in them this summer with shorts versions in lighter linen as well as heavier denim and drill. Its just coming into autumn here in the southern hemisphere and Ive made my first cropped wide leg version and they are divine! Can't wait for some cooler weather to wear these babies! They work brilliantly with the Pietra top too for my fave combo!
The fit is lovely and the high, flat waist is so flattering and even better.... no zips to sew!

Best shorts ever

Honestly I love my pietra shorts and the pockets are so handy. I found it easy to sew. The first pair I sewed I went quite slow making sure to read the instructions properly but it was much easier to see the second time around. I should of sized down the first time.

Pietra Pants and me - a match made in heaven :-)

I was in search of a pattern for an easy yet flattering pair of summery pants. Since I have bought and made many patterns from CCP it was clear I´d look into their patterns first and wasn´t disappointed. The Pietra pants has all that I like in a pant: a smooth front yet no zip or complicated closure, some elastic for easy pulling on and off and pockets with a little twist :-) I sewed a pair in a coral viscose/linnen blend and was sold! And - best of all - I didn´t have to make any alterations (except lengthening the legs, which is a breeze). I immediatly made a second pair in a winered tencel with white dots (and added a cropped ogden cami) so now, I´m ready for a hot summer!
I´m so happy I found CCP a few years ago and am eager to test the Elodie wrapdress next.
Keep up the good work guys! Thanks XX Milan
