Pattern Hacks & Inspiration
From the Closet Core Patterns Community
It is an indispensable basic pattern! It allows you to create a variety of blouses and dresses. Simple instructions and well done pattern. Sizes and measurements work perfectly.
The instructions for the kalle shirt were very clear. I love that there are so many ways to construct it with mixing and matching the different lengths and collars. However, the largest size is just a bit small for me. I figured with the ease and flowiness of this garment, I might squeak by, but that wasn't the case with the sleeves. Im VERY new to apparel sewing, so trying to size it up myself isn't really in my skill set just yet.
I was a little nervous because I bought a foreign pattern for the first time, but I could complete it thanks to the instruction with illustrations.
It is comfortable and fits me. I like it. I would like to make it again with different collar and length.
Assembling PDF patterns was a little hard for me, so I may use international shipping for the next time I buy other patterns.
I am a beginning sewist. Not only is this pattern completely adorable, it really helped me learn new sewing skills. I was super intimidated by the collar but the directions and the sew-along are both so clear :)
I was so excited to buy and try this pattern, and it didn't dissapoint!! The instructions are well detailed, and the closet core sew along filled in any gaps for this novice sewer. The hashtag on insta gave some fabulous inspiration. I truly love the flexibility and number of combinations that you're able to make - you can sew this many times and each garment will turn out unique, and fill a different gap in your wardrobe. I've already made 3, and have another 2 on the docket!!
