This was the most complicated garment I had seen when I made it- my first stable waistband, my first invisible zip, and my first time working with a slinky rayon. It’s not perfect, but I enjoyed the process and the skirt is totally wearable. The instructions were great- usually while I’m working on new techniques I google other instructions to compare, but when I made this I only used the instructions that came with it. They were very clear, even for a beginner like me!
I really like it!
A-line skirts are my style, and the fiore, specially the wrap one with the pocket, it’s my favorite!
Following the instructions was very easy, I already made 2! 😉
Now the Clare Coat and the Jenny Overalls are on my next project list!!!
I adore this pattern. I made View B, as I was really drawn to the asymmetric wrap and pocket which was so unique. It was easy to sew, great for a beginner like me. It was simple to fit too as the wrap could be easily adjusted. The fabric I chose was a busy floral pattern, so I added some trim to highlight the wrap and pocket. I have a couple more photos on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CGc0PRkFxLO/
I love this skirt! Made the simple version, I needed to size down the waist finally . I lenghthened it mid-calves. Next time I will reduce the fullness a little bit. Instructions are very clear AS USUAL!!!!
Thank you for these wonderful patterns!!!
I had been on the look out for a skirt I would actually be able to wear that as I need a waistband but that was fun and wearable with a toddler. This one was the winner when I also saw I only needed 2 metres of fabric for View C. I made it up in a washed cotton and it was love. Such an enjoyable sew. I'm not a beginner anymore but I definitely think with the fantastic instructions that this is beginner friendly as well.
I found this pattern was very true to size and the instructions were easy to follow. I made it from a wool fabric so decided to line it. That was slightly more difficult. Overall the pattern was excellent and inspired me to make more closet core patterns. I plan to make the skirt again as well.
