Love this pattern! It has been a while since I tackled anything even remotely "tailored". I have been sewing easy to wear workwear but now that I retired it is time to up my game, and the Carolyn seemed like a great choice. I found a lovely light blue/gray linen and got to work. The directions were clear and easy to follow and the pattern pieces matched up perfectly. I loved the set so much I immediately made a second pair of pants with a piece of cotton flannel I have had in my stash for at least 20 years. The pattern will be back in the cue for another go!!
I made this with Nani Iro double gauze fabric, shorts version. It was one of the more complex things I’ve ever made but it turned out really cute!
What a great pyjama pattern. I have made up, this easy to understand, pattern three times. Every pair has worked out perfectly. I have used a variety of fabrics including rayon ( i modified my pattern for this veeson to make them more flowing) and sateen. Love this pattern.
J’ai été ravie de réaliser un pyjama élégant ! Merci pour les explications très claires qui accompagnent le patron.
This is a great pattern. The instructions are clear abs really easy to follow. I love my pyjamas and will definitely be making another pair.
Loved the making of these Pajamas. I had bought the most drapey and buttery linen a long time before I'd started sewing. These Carolyns were much wanted! And worth the wait too... I sewed up the shorts first as I just couldn't wait until I'd sewn up the whole trio of treats. They were worn in well and photographed by the time I'd started the shirt. It's a lovely piece of pattern making and has asked me to use some new skills but I managed to get the hang of the buttonholes and piping, and so they look and feel lovely.
The fit was true.
I've now got to get back to that fabric stash to finish (and start...) the pants, but I've loved the journey so far.
