Pattern Hacks & Inspiration
From the Closet Core Patterns Community
My wants are elemental: piping, enclosed seams, curved waistband, slash pockets. I searched for a year before discovering Closetcase patterns. These jammies are perfect. I’ve made two pair — one Cotten, one flannel, and they’re perfect. Instructions very clear. Highly recommend.
Love the way they fit! Great pattern, I will make them again!!
I love every pattern I have sewn from Closet Case. This one I have not sewn yet but I’m sure it will be a winner too
I enjoyed working with your Charlie Caftan pattern. It was accurate and the instructions were clear. I'm not sure my 8th grade Home Ec teacher would approve my result, but the pattern was great to work with.
Very nice pattern, easy to follow. I’ve only made the pants so far, but I’ve done two of them. The first pair was from a thrifted sheet, and the second one in cozy flannel. I love the fit. I love the style and they come together very quickly, even though I’m not the greatest of sewists!
I would say be sure to check the sizing and your measurements, because if I go shopping I wear a six or maybe an eight, sometimes even a four. For this pattern I measured out at a 12. But the fit is perfect, so do the measuring….
If anyone reading this has a suggestion for where to get good 1 1/2 inch elastic, I would love to hear it. The first one I tried was too flexible, and the second one I did was a bit too stiff. Would like something in between… Suggestions please!
It has been years since I sewed clothes. However, my granddaughter found your pattern online, loved it and asked 'mamie' if I would make them for her. I have now completed the top and have started on the bottoms. The hardest part was fitting the collar correctly; but Ta-Da! Success! Once the bottoms are completed, I will forward a photo. The instructions were fairly simple to understand and I will definately check your site the next time she has a special request.
